Depatment of Mathematics

Department of Mathematics established in 1971 at the same time of establishment of this college. The first Head of Department was Principal Dr. B. B. Shinde who later on held the positions as the Principal, Balbhim College, Beed and Chairman, Maharashtra Public Service Commission. Presently one full time teachers and two teachers on CHB are performing their role to develop quality of students. Dr. M.S. Chaudhari has served in this department and then left this department to join at Department of Mathematics, Shivaji University Kolhapur. Mr. B. T. Pokale, Mr. P. M. Kapate, Dr. G. K. Sanap, Dr. S. N. Bidarkar also served in this department.

The department is engaged in teaching activities and co-curricular activities. The department guide for competitive examinations, for PG entrance examinations. SET/NET examinations. Ex-student Miss. M. L. Dhumal,Mr. Achut Chavan and Mr. Sunil Rathod were passed the SET examination. Mr. Achut Chavan was also qualified NET examination. Every year some students take admission to M.Sc. Mathematics.

Best Practices

Pradnya Award : The award is given to the best student in Mathematics from the academic year 2012-13 every year in the memories of Prof. Vijay Sangale’sgrand mother Late Prayagabai Dnyanoba Sangale. The award is given in the form of Rs. 1001/- and Certificate.
Project Competition : Every year project competition is announced on the occasion of National Mathematics Day. The Project was given to student as competition among the Mathematics students. These projects are assessed by expert from the Mathematics or Physics department. The experts choose best three project and The certificate and memento is given to winner students in Annual Prize Distribution Function.
